Madakaripura Waterfall

Tourist area of Mount Bromo was storing a unique tourist sites and charming. Its location not far from the sea of sand Bromo, only about 45 minutes toward Probolinggo (north). His name is Madakaripura waterfall. According to locals this name is taken from a story in the days of old, reputedly Patih Gajah Mada spend rest of his life by meditating on this tejun water. This story is supported by the statues of Gajah Mada in the parking lot area.

To reach this resort is not too difficult. Should visits be done if we are going to Bromo in Probolinggo direction because the direction of travel or while in Bromo and performed in the morning. The location can be reached by private vehicle or rental car (from Probolinggo hire Panther Rp 150.000, - pp driver, 12/2003). If we come from the direction of Probolinggo Arriving in the Village Sukapura then we turn right., We will pass the asphalt road to treat a view on either side of this part of the high mountains a refreshing eye. Less is more after about 5 miles to travel, we will meet the entrance waterfall tourist area Madakaripura marked with wide parking area and a statue of Gajah Mada. Here, many local residents who volunteered to be a 'guide' that will accompany her to tell the history of a tourist attraction until we return again to the parking lot.

Next we had to walk about 15 minutes, through the trail is made of cement so that rocky will not be slippery when wet. At this walk we are also treated to beautiful scenery and cool, right next to us there are rocky river flow, we are flanked on either side of high cliffs with dense trees along with the accompaniment of singing birds and beetles derikan. Sometimes in some parts of the road, blocked by fallen trees or a former landslide, though this road is relatively flat and can be lived with ease, if exhausted there are several places along the road that could be used to sit down to rest. When I arrived at the location of the waterfall we will meet with small shops, post guards, and toilet (can change), there are also rental umbrella if we do not want to get too soaked. The waterfall originates from water that flows from the cliff elongate and form a curtain, so that we can walk under it umbrella ria. In the end, we will meet with a diameter circular room about 25 meters.

Standing in the room of this nature will feel as though we were at the bottom of a tube, where there is a waterfall with a height of 200 meters, with the overflow of water falling from above with the swift and turned into a soft cotton to greenish pond. Water that falls on this pond causing the rhythmic sound, sometimes it evokes the sound louder because the water that falls more heavily. The uniqueness and coolness of this waterfall makes us feel at home for long looking at it. For you fans of photography, this location could be the object of endless, ranging from the entrance of the arrival until the atmosphere is like a waterfall in the tube.

Some people in Probolinggo, both in the hotel and in which we ask our travel agent about this waterfall claim to have never visited there. This is probably because of this waterfall which occurs when landslides or floods, then we are at the bottom of the tube will be trapped. So in a 'tube' is a feeling we will mingle among marvel at this natural beauty and anxiety. Seeing this condition if the forecasted landslide or flood, this Madakaripura tourist area will be closed to visitors.

After the main content and cold water, we can enjoy a hot drink at the stall near the waterfall before walking back to the parking lot. In general, this place has been managed well enough, can be achieved through the smooth asphalt roads, paths are comfortable, public facilities such as bathrooms, mosques and parking lots. But the lack of information about this place and the security guarantees that are not yet resulted in very few people know and want to visit this tourist area. With enough promotion, visitors will be able to add to a list Bromo tourist destination. Congratulations to enjoy it ......

Borobudur Temple

the Biggest Buddhist Temple in the 9th Century

Who does not know Borobudur? This Buddhist temple has 1460 relief panels and 504 Buddha effigies in the complex. Millions of people are yearning to visit the buildings included in this World Wonder Heritages. No wonder, for the architectural and function as a place of worship, Borobudur is attractive heart.

Borobudur was built by King Samaratungga, one of the kings of Old Mataram Kingdom, Dynasty descendant dynasty. Based Kayumwungan inscription, an Indonesian named Hudaya Kandahjaya revealed that Borobudur is a place of worship was completed on 26 May 824, almost a hundred years from the time the construction. The name of Borobudur, as some people means a mountain having terraces (budhara), while the other says that Borobudur means monastery on the high ground.

Borobudur-shaped building with staircase punden consists of 10 levels. Height 42 meters before it was renovated and 34.5 meters after the renovation because the lowest level is used as a drag. Six lowest level of a square and three levels on top of a circle and one of the highest levels of Buddhist stupa facing to the west. Each level represents the stages of human life. In accordance madhhabs Mahayana Buddhism, every person who wants to reach the level as the Buddha had to through every level of life is.

The base of Borobudur, called Kamadhatu, symbolizing human beings that are still bound by lust. Four levels above referred Rupadhatu symbolizes man who had to break free from lust but still bound manner and form. On this terrace, Buddha effigies are placed in open space. Meanwhile, three levels above where the Buddhist stupas are laid in holes called Arupadhatu, symbolizing man who has been free from lust, appearance, and shape. The top part is called Arupa symbolizes nirvana, where Buddha is residing.

Each terrace has beautiful relief panels showing how skillful. Relief that will be read coherently when you walk in a clockwise direction (towards the left of the entrance of the temple). The relief panels tell the legendary story of Ramayana. In addition, there are relief panels describing the condition of society at that time. For example, relief of farmers' activity reflecting the advance of agriculture system and relief of sailing boat representing the advance of the voyage who was based in Bergotta (Semarang).

All relief panels in Borobudur temple reflect the Buddha's teachings. Hence, this temple functions as educating the media for people who want to learn Buddhism. YogYES invites you to surround each of the narrow alleys of Borobudur for to understand the philosophy of Buddhism. Atisha, a Buddhist from India in the 10th century, had visited the temple that was built 3 centuries before Angkor Wat in Cambodia and 4 centuries before the Grand Cathedrals in Europe.

Thanks to visiting Borobudur and armed with a script from Serlingpa Buddhism (one of the king of the Kingdom of Sriwijaya), Atisha was able to develop Buddhism. He became head Vikramasila monastery and taught Tibetans of practicing Dharma. Six manuscripts of Serlingpa was condensed into a core course called "The Lamp for the Path to Enlightenment" or better known by the name Bodhipathapradipa.

One of the questions still unanswered about Borobudur is how the condition around the temple was built and why the temple was found in the buried state. Some say Borobudur initially stood surrounded by a swamp and then buried by the eruption of Merapi. Calcutta is essentially the inscription reads 'Amawa' means sea of milk. The word is then interpreted as lava of Merapi. Some other says that Borobudur buried by cold lava of Merapi.
With all the grandeur and mystery that is, only natural that many people from all world penjru include Borobudur as a place worth visiting in his life. Besides enjoying the temple, you can walk around to the villages around Borobudur, like Karanganyar and Wanurejo to view the activities of local crafts. You also can go to the top watu Kendil to Borobudur panoramic view from the top, like a Miss Universe who has visited this temple. Why wait? No need to worry about an earthquake May 27, 2006, because of Borobudur is not affected at all.
